Ana is built for coding and agentic work. Lexi is built for research and conversational products with an actual personality. Both use the same OpenAI-compatible endpoint and the same API key.
Models
Coding · agents · long-context work
Use Ana for coding assistants, repository work, tool-driven agents, and technical analysis.
Research · Discord · Telegram · conversation
Use Lexi when the model's point of view is part of the product: community bots, research assistants, and conversational applications.
Quick start
If you have an OpenAI client, point its base_url at https://api.anathema.ai/v1 and your code keeps working. Replace <YOUR_API_KEY> with the secret you create on the Keys tab after sign-up.
curl https://api.anathema.ai/v1/chat/completions \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"model":"ana","messages":[{"role":"user","content":"Review this function"}]}'Python, Node, and LangChain examples appear in the dashboard once you sign up, same shape, four lines apiece.

What you’re building on
Ana is the practical default for coding and agentic applications. Lexi is the same model and personality available in Anathema chat, exposed for products where research, conversation, and a recognizable point of view matter.
Read the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service before you ship, the same rules apply to API traffic that apply to the chat surface. If your application surfaces Lexi to end users, you are responsible for their behavior under the AUP.
Free to create an account. Credits unlock the API; the consumer chat product runs on a separate plan if you want to try the model before integrating.
