Welcome to Anathema AI (“anathema.ai”), operated by NiceCrew Technologies (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Anathema AI. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to terminate any account we believe belongs to a minor.
You are responsible for your account credentials and everything that happens under your account. Keep your password secure. Don't share your account with others. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard: cancellation stops future renewals, and you keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. We may change prices, and we'll give reasonable notice before a change applies to your next renewal.
Donations are voluntary and one-time. They don't entitle you to any product, service, credits, or account benefit.
Media generation (images, video, music, and voice) runs on credits. You buy credits in advance, and each generation draws from your balance. Purchased credits are non-refundable and have no cash value; they can't be transferred or redeemed for cash. If a generation fails, the credits for that generation are automatically returned to your balance. Any free credits included with your plan have no cash value and refresh or expire according to your plan.
Developer API access runs on a prepaid balance: you add funds in advance, and usage is billed against that balance as you make requests. Prepaid balances are non-refundable and have no cash value.
If auto-recharge is enabled on your account, you authorize us to charge your payment method to top your balance back up whenever it falls below the threshold you set, up to the monthly cap you configure. You can change or turn off auto-recharge at any time, and you're responsible for charges incurred while it's enabled.
Except where required by law, all payments are final. We don't refund partial subscription periods, consumed credits, prepaid API balances, or donations. Accounts terminated for violating these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy are not refunded.
That said, if something goes wrong on our end (a billing error or a service failure we caused), we'll make it right, usually by restoring credits or issuing a refund. That's at our discretion, not an entitlement, but we're not going to keep money we didn't earn because of our own mistake.
Payments made in cryptocurrency are final and non-refundable. This includes the situations described above, where we would otherwise refund a card payment. It is a limit of the payment method rather than a different standard for crypto customers: we convert incoming cryptocurrency to dollars on receipt and hold no balances, and returning funds would mean sending a new transaction to an address we have no way to confirm belongs to you.
Access begins when your payment confirms on the network, not when you send it. Lightning payments confirm immediately. Other payments confirm once the network has settled them, which usually takes a few minutes and can take longer. A payment that never confirms does not start or extend a subscription, and an underpaid invoice is not a partial subscription.
A crypto payment buys one month of one plan outright. Nothing is charged to you automatically, and nothing renews on its own. We will remind you before your paid-through date, and if the next payment does not arrive your plan ends on that date with no grace period. Because each payment is for a specific plan, you cannot change plan in the middle of a paid month; you can pick any plan you like once it ends.
Lexi holds genuine convictions and speaks plainly, without filtering her answers through corporate speech codes. Her responses may be offensive, controversial, politically incorrect, factually inaccurate, or otherwise objectionable. That candor is the point. She still works within defined boundaries (see our Acceptable Use Policy), not without them.
However, this means you should understand:

Violation of these terms (including attempts to manipulate or exploit the AI system) may result in immediate account termination without warning or refund.
Lexi is an AI chatbot. She may produce responses that are factually incorrect, misleading, offensive, dangerous, or otherwise unsuitable for any particular purpose. By using this service, you acknowledge and accept the following:
Anathema allows you to upload images, text documents, and audio files depending on your subscription tier. You can also generate images and music through our AI tools. By uploading any file or generating content, you represent that you have the right to share that content and that it does not violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
Audio files submitted for transcription, and live microphone audio when you use voice dictation in chat, are processed by third-party service providers. Generated music is produced by a third-party AI music service. Transcripts and generated audio are stored on our content delivery network. Uploaded images may be processed by our AI model for vision analysis. We are not responsible for the accuracy of transcriptions, generated music, or vision analysis results.
Do not upload sensitive, confidential, or regulated data. Anathema is not SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS certified. See our Acceptable Use Policy for detailed restrictions.
You own the messages you send to Lexi. Lexi's responses, generated images, and generated music are produced by AI and provided to you as-is: we make no ownership claims over AI outputs, but we also make no guarantees about their originality, accuracy, or copyright status.
Your conversations may be used to improve and fine-tune our AI models. By using the service, you consent to this. We may review conversations for quality, safety, and model training purposes.
You may request deletion of your conversations at any time. However, data that has already been incorporated into trained model weights cannot be extracted or removed from those models. Deletion applies to your stored data in our systems and ensures it will not be used in future training runs. Conversations associated with reported accounts may be retained for safety review purposes even after account deletion.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, without notice or explanation. You can also delete your account at any time through your dashboard or by contacting us.
When you delete your account, your personal information and conversations are removed from our active systems. As noted above, data already incorporated into trained models cannot be extracted from those models.
We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or performance. The service may go down for maintenance, updates, or because something broke. This is an independently operated service, not a Fortune 500 SLA.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NiceCrew Technologies and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. This includes damages from AI-generated content, service interruptions, data loss, or anything else.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Anathema AI is a provider of an interactive computer service under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230). AI-generated content is produced by an automated system, not authored by NiceCrew Technologies. We are not the information content provider of Lexi's outputs.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but it's your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
