This privacy policy explains what data Anathema AI (“anathema.ai”), operated by NiceCrew Technologies, collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We believe in being straightforward about this.
Account information:
• Email address
• Name
• Password (stored hashed, we never see your actual password)
Usage data:
• Messages and conversations with Lexi
• Images you upload or that Lexi generates for you
• Documents you upload for analysis
• Audio files you submit for transcription, and live microphone audio when you use voice dictation in chat (both processed by a third-party speech service in real time, not stored permanently)
• Memories you confirm when Lexi proposes remembering them (see Memory section below)
• Token usage and interaction metadata
• IP address
• Browser and device information (via standard HTTP headers)
• Account management: authentication, session handling, account features.
• Chat functionality: storing your conversations so you can access them later.
• Model improvement: conversations may be reviewed and used to fine-tune and improve Lexi.
• Abuse prevention: detecting and preventing misuse of the platform.
• Usage tracking: monitoring token budgets and rate limits.
• Personalization: if you enable memory, confirmed memories are retrieved when relevant to the current conversation so Lexi can stay consistent with what you’ve told her.
• Sharing: if you share a conversation, a snapshot of its messages becomes publicly accessible via a unique link. You can revoke shared links at any time.
Your conversations with Lexi may be reviewed by us and used to train and improve our AI models. This is how we make Lexi better. By using the service, you consent to this use of your conversations. Message ratings and feedback tags you provide are also used to improve response quality.
Memories (facts Lexi remembers about you) are stored in our primary database and are not included in training data. See the Memory section below for details.
We will never publicly publish your conversations with your identity attached.
If you delete your conversations or account, that data is removed from our active systems and will not be used in future training runs. However, data that has already been incorporated into trained model weights cannot be extracted or removed from those models. This is a technical limitation of how AI training works and is standard across the industry.
We use session cookies for authentication, keeping you logged in. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie banners, no dark patterns.
We use the following third-party services:
• CDN and storage provider: file storage for uploaded images, generated images, generated audio, and other content.
• Payment processor: subscription billing and one-time donations. We do not store your card details.
• Speech-to-text provider: audio files you submit for transcription, and live microphone audio when you use voice dictation in the chat composer, are sent to an external speech-to-text service for processing. Audio is not stored after processing, and we opt out of it being used to train that provider's models.
• Web search provider: when Lexi performs a web search on your behalf, your query is sent to an external search API.
• Music generation provider: song prompts and lyrics you submit are sent to a third-party AI music service. Generated audio is stored on our CDN.
• Image and video generation provider: prompts you submit, and any source images you upload for editing or animation, are sent to a third-party AI generation service. Generated media is stored on our CDN.
• External compute providers: most chat runs on our own hardware. Under certain conditions, your conversation may be processed by an external compute provider solely to generate your response, not to train any third-party model.
• Content-moderation provider: prompts submitted for media generation are checked by a third-party classification service to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy before generation.
• Developer API model providers: some models on our developer API are served by third-party infrastructure rather than hardware we operate. Ana runs on Kimi K3. Content you send to a model served that way, and the content it returns, leaves our systems and may be used by that provider to train and improve their models. No setting on our side turns this off. The API documentation identifies which models this applies to.
Except where stated above, these services process data only as necessary to provide their functionality. We never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
• Account data: kept until you delete your account.
• Conversations: kept until you delete them or your account. Deleted conversations are removed from our active systems and will not be used in future training. Data already incorporated into trained model weights cannot be extracted. This is a technical limitation standard across all AI providers.
• Temporary chats: deleted from our servers when you close the chat tab. As a safeguard, any temporary chat not removed within 24 hours (e.g., if your browser closes unexpectedly) is deleted automatically. Temporary chats are not used for memory, training, analytics, or any other persistent purpose.
• Uploaded files, generated images, and generated audio: kept until the associated conversation is deleted or your account is deleted.
• Uploaded documents: when you upload a document to a conversation, the document’s contents are processed by our infrastructure providers for text extraction and semantic indexing. The indexed content remains accessible during the conversation in which the document was uploaded and is permanently deleted when that conversation is deleted, when your account is closed, or when the conversation is terminated for a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy. We do not retain the original uploaded file after indexing completes. Indexed content is not accessible from other conversations, by other users, or by Anathema staff in the ordinary course of operations.
• Memories: kept until you delete them, disable memory, or delete your account. If your paid subscription lapses, memories enter a 60-day grace period before permanent deletion (see Memory section).
• Shared conversations: the shared snapshot is kept until you revoke the share link or delete your account.
• Usage logs: retained as needed for abuse prevention and service operation.
If you enable memory, Lexi can remember things about you across conversations: preferences, ongoing projects, identity details. When it’s on, she saves memories automatically as you chat. You stay in control: tell her to forget anything, or review and delete memories in your dashboard.
Memory content is stored in our primary database, alongside conversation history. It isn’t encrypted at rest, and Anathema isn’t SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS certified. Deleting a memory does not delete the conversation that created it. You can manage both in your dashboard.
Memory is available on paid subscriptions. If you cancel, your memories enter a 60-day grace period: they’re preserved but not used by Lexi, and will be restored if you resubscribe within that window. After 60 days, memories are permanently deleted.
You can at any time: view all your memories, edit individual memories, delete a single memory, delete all memories, or disable the memory system entirely. You can also export all your memories as JSON from your dashboard.
You have the right to:
• Export your conversations in multiple formats.
• Delete individual conversations from your account.
• View, edit, delete, or export any memory Lexi has saved about you, and disable memory entirely at any time.
• Revoke shared conversation links.
• Delete your entire account and associated personal data.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Period.
Anathema AI is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data.
We may update this policy as our service evolves. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
